Andrew: Andrew is one of our reviewers who’s been with HuginX the longest. With a background in membership support at one of the largest survey companies, Andrew has a lot of inside knowledge of the Market Research industry and has helped us refine our reviewing criteria. When Andrew is not working with reviews, he likes to go hiking with his dog Charlie.

What is MDLIinx?

MDLinx is owned by the M3 Group, which extends its operations across the United States, Asia, and Europe, serving a vast network of over 2 million physicians through its physician websites. These websites include m3.com, mdlinx.com, m3global.com, doctors.net.uk, thesmartestdoc.com, networksinhealth.com, medigate.net, medeconnect.net, and medlive.cn.

The company’s influence spans multiple locations, with offices situated in cities such as Tokyo, Washington D.C., Fort Washington (PA), Oxford, London, and Seoul. As a result, M3 remains dedicated to its mission of supporting the healthcare community while fostering advancements in medical research and professional development.

Is MDLinx a legit site?

Yes, MDLinx is a legit healthcare site. Its parent company M3 Group is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (jp:2413) and operates as a publicly traded company with subsidiary branches strategically positioned in key markets such as the USA, UK, Japan, South Korea, and China. By focusing on the healthcare and life science industries, the M3 Group provides an array of valuable services. These services encompass market research, medical education, ethical drug promotion, clinical development, job recruitment, and clinic appointment services.

M3 is also a part of several professional healthcare and market research associations such as Ephmra, Insights Association (IA), Intellus and BHBIA. This means they adhere to professional standards when conducting research, which should be reassuring for healthcare professionals signing up to take medical healthcare surveys through MDLinx.

What’s the concept?

On the surface, MDLinx is just an online platform that provides physicians and other medical professionals with the latest medical news, clinical resources, and education opportunities. However, by signing up for MDLinx, physicians also get the benefit of accessing paid healthcare surveys.  M3’s market research business is operated by M3 Global Research which conducts surveys on various topics related to healthcare, such as patient experiences, treatment preferences, and professional opinions.

Physicians who participate in these surveys can earn rewards for sharing their insights and expertise, while also contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge and practice. To take part in paid medical surveys, physicians can register on the MDLinx website and complete their profiles. They will then receive invitations to relevant surveys based on their speciality, location, and availability.

Physicians can choose to complete the surveys online or via phone, at their convenience and privacy. MDLinx and M3 Global Research ensure the quality and integrity of their surveys, as well as the confidentiality and security of their participants’ data.

Verification of healthcare professionals

In order not for “anyone” to claim to be a physician, you will be asked to provide a photo ID to verify your identity through M3s privacy and verification process. If you do not wish to provide this during registration, you will have the option to skip, but an M3 representative may be in contact requesting an alternate form of verification. M3 will typically match your identity to publicly available databases such as the AMA Physician Professional Database (AMA-PPD) to verify your licence.

Survey Sites explained in 10 steps

Looking to join a Survey Site? Here are the key steps in the process applicable to most sites:

1. Client requests survey participants

A client requests survey participants for a market research project.

2. A target-group is selected

Based on the profiling information you have provided, a sub-set of panelists will be eligible and selected to participate.

3. Participants are invited

Panelists with qualifying profiles will be invited to participate, usually through email invitation or push notification on mobile.

4. Screening of participants

Upon clicking the invitation link, you'll go through a set of screening questions before you are fully qualified to participate.

5. Participants take the survey

As a participant you'll answer a number of questions. The survey could be about anything from consumer brands and entertainment to healthcare and business topics.

6. Your answers are checked

After you have answered all the questions diligently, you'll get a confirmation if your submission has been approved. You'll sometimes need to wait for a researcher to have gone through your submission before you get a confirmation.

7. Your reward is allocated

After the survey, you'll also get a confirmation on the incentive you have earned. The rewards vary from site to site, but is often based on virtual points or simply a cash amount for each survey.

8. Meeting the redemption threshold

Most survey sites don't allow you to withdraw your reward straight away, but will require you to earn a minimum amount before withdrawing your hard earned reward.

9. Filling out your payment information

If you opt to receive your reward through PayPal or bank transfer, remember that your name and address must also match your profile on the survey site.

10. Redeeming your reward

Once you meet the redemption threshold you can withdraw your reward, which is usually in the form of PayPal credits, bank-transfer, Amazon-vouchers, or other types of gift-cards.

Summary – Pros and Cons

MDLinx is a platform that allows doctors to share their opinions and insights on various topics related to healthcare, such as treatments, products, policies, and trends. On the positive side, this gives healthcare professionals the opportunity to contribute to important medical research as well as earn rewards, such as cash, gift cards, or donations to charities.  Benefits can also include access to exclusive content, such as reports, webinars, and newsletters, that can help them stay updated and informed on the latest developments in their field.

However, signing up for a physician survey site also has some drawbacks. First, physicians need to meet certain eligibility criteria, such as having a valid license, practising in a specific country or region, and specializing in a relevant area. Second, physicians need to comply with the terms and conditions of the survey site, such as respecting confidentiality, providing honest and accurate responses, and avoiding conflicts of interest. Third, physicians need to dedicate some time and effort to complete the surveys, which may vary in length, frequency, and complexity.

Disclosure – How we make money

We built HuginX around our core principles of openness, honesty and transparency. Your trust is of the utmost importance to us, which is why we’ll always be straight-up about how we review sites.

When it comes to running our website, we want to be entirely upfront about how we operate, how we make money, and how we keep the site a free resource for our millions of visitors. We don’t accept payment to provide positive reviews, and providers will never have a say in how we choose the best sites. Our aim is to put you, the reader, first and foremost at all times.

A list of practices we never engage in:

  1. We will never accept money to review a product
  2. We will never accept money to change a product review
  3. We will never accept money to turn a blind eye to an issue or flaw
  4. We will never accept money to bias our research or investigations

So, how do we make money? We receive fees from some of the sites we refer subscribers to. These fees are also known as affiliate commissions. When you click on a link or a button that takes you to a provider’s website such as a survey site, we may receive compensation for having referred a new sign-up.

Referral fees are only negotiated after we’ve fully conducted our review, meaning that money plays no factor in the process. Referral fees do not impact our review ratings and recommendations. The compensation we receive may, however, influence how, where, and in what order products appear in our paid search comparison pages, which are separate from our editorial content. These contain ad listings, and can only be accessed via search engine advertisements.
