OpinionBar is an online panel operated by the Dutch market research provider MetrixLab. In this OpinionBar review, we’ll check if this is a legit site, and we’ll also take a close look at both user experience and compensation. 

Is OpinionBar a legit survey site? 

OpinionBar is a legitimate company that pays you for answering surveys. OpinionBar’s parent company MetrixLab turns your survey data into actionable insights that help leading brands drive innovation and brand and customer engagement. In 2023, OpinionBar’s parent company MetrixLab was acquired by the French market research provider Toluna. Toluna is one of the largest providers of survey participants for the survey industry, with offices in all main markets across the globe. Toluna is also a member of the European market research association ESOMAR, and adheres to professional standards when it comes to treating respondents. 

Data Privacy: Any reason for concern? 

OpinionBar values the privacy of your data. All surveys are anonymous, and personal information is never shared with third parties. In addition, your personal data is protected by SSL.

How to get started 

OpinionBar does not have a mobile app you can download, but the site is mobile-friendly. The site does not say which countries it is available, but when you sign up as a member, you will notice that there are a lot of countries to choose from, so if your country is listed, you can register as a member. To become a member, fill out the registration form. Enter your name, address, email, gender, password, and more. Once you submit, you will be asked to answer a short survey. These are basic questions to build your profile; once you are done, you can now log in and start answering surveys. Multiple members from the same household can join who are 18 years old and above.

What about the survey experience? 

Answering surveys from your mobile device is a whole lot easier. Unfortunately, however, there is no mobile app available for OpinionBar. The good news is that their website is mobile-friendly. As a result, you will have no trouble navigating it when using your mobile device. You also don’t have to zoom in to properly read the content, which makes answering surveys from your mobile device much easier. As a result, the overall user experience provided by the site is quite satisfactory.

Basic questions are needed to build your profile so that OpinionBar knows what kind of surveys to send your way. After completing the profile survey, you can log in to the site and begin earning. The availability of surveys is usually determined by where you live. Some countries have more surveys available than others. The site has a good support system for its members, despite the lack of a FAQ or Help page, because they provide an easy way for you to contact their support team.

How much can you make on OpinionBar? 

You usually earn around $1 to $3 per survey you complete. There is no points system. You can withdraw from PayPal once you have reached at least $20. Most gift cards require a minimum of $10 for you to redeem. You can also donate your earnings to charities the site supports.

You will receive $2 as a referral reward.

Remember that you may not always be eligible for a survey. As a result, don’t expect to earn money from every survey invitation you receive. As a result, despite paying a decent amount per survey, it will take a long time to reach their payout threshold and redeem a reward, owing to the scarcity of earning opportunities.

What can prevent me from cashing out? 

Even if a website is legit, there are still various reasons why others cannot cash out their points. The first is creating multiple accounts. OpinionBar allows only one account per person, and attempts to earn more by creating multiple accounts will cause you to be banned from the survey site and lose all the points you have accumulated. The second is being unattentive and dishonest in taking surveys. OpinionBar can check if you do not answer survey questions attentively, so be honest and read instructions thoroughly before answering each survey.
