Is InboxPounds legit?

Yes, this is a legit site run by the market research provider Prodege. Prodege feeds many of the largest and most recognized market research companies in the world through programmatic marketplaces driven by AI. By signing up to InboxPounds you can be reached by companies like Ipsos, Nielsen and Kantar when they are looking for respondents doing research on consumer topics. While your survey answers will be shared with 3rd party companies, your personal details such as email address and telephone number will remain confidential.

Is there a catch?

Yes, there’s a catch. Until you reach £20 in earnings, you can’t access any of your earnings. This is quite high compared to how much you get paid for each task, so many people give up before they reach the payment threshold. What does this mean for you? You should only bother to sign up if you are confident that you have the time and will to complete a considerable amount of tasks. If you give up before reaching £20, you simply don’t get paid.

What’s the concept?

InboxPounds is an online reward site that offers users the opportunity to earn points by completing various paid tasks such as surveys, offers, trials, downloads, games, and cashback offers. The site’s owner, Prodege, generates revenue by selling market research data to its clients.

The basic premise of InboxPounds is simple: users sign up for a free account and begin earning points by completing tasks. Once they’ve accumulated enough cash, they can redeem them for PayPal payments or digital gift cards. The surveys are provided by Prodege’s clients, who are typically companies looking to conduct market research on their products or services.

Prodege’s business model relies on collecting and analyzing data from these surveys and other tasks to provide valuable insights to its clients. For example, a cosmetics company might commission a survey to gather information on the preferences and habits of young women who use skincare products. Or a fast food chain might conduct a survey on the eating habits and preferences of people who live in urban areas.

How much can I make?

inboxpounds

Paid surveys examples:

  • 15 min survey: £0.19
  • 5 min survey: £0.28
  • 13 min survey: £0.38

On average you’ll get paid around £0.25 for a 10-minutes survey.

Paid offers examples:

  • Complete Club Vegas Slots Level 100: £30
  • Reach Level 50 – World Series of Poker: £40
  • Reach Solitaire Cruise World 15: £30
  • ClockMaker Stage 15: £20

On average you’ll get paid around £30 per game-testing offer.

As you can see from the examples above, you can get as much as 10X more from offers compared to surveys. So if you’re into playing online games and don’t mind testing out online casinos, you could earn a lot more than if you’re just focused on taking paid surveys. Having said that, completing multiple levels of an online game app can take several weeks to accomplish in comparison to surveys which can be completed in a matter of minutes. The total amount you can make comes down to how much time you are willing to spend on the platform. As an example, let’s take the game “Coin Master”.

Criteria to earn £30 playing “Coin Master”

  1. The minimum OS requirement to install is OS14 (iOS) and OS 11 (Android)
  2. Complete Village 20 within 7 days and make an in-app purchase.
  3. The reward will pend for 14 days from completion.

Completing level 20 within 7 days seems like a challenge for some. Here is a user commenting on Reddit:

While for some experienced gamers, completing the offers can be done on time it can be harder for novice players to meet the strict requirements. 14 days is also a very long time to have your payment pending.

Our take on InboxPounds

If you’re determined to test out a rewards site like this, InboxPounds is not the worst site you can opt for. A professional organization runs it, and you’ll get your money according to their terms. So if you’re prepared to take a lot of surveys and sign up for a bunch of offers, InboxPounds could be a nice little side gig. However, if you don’t reach the payment threshold all your time spent on the platform will be a waste of time with nothing paid out.

Summary – Pros & Cons

InboxPounds is a popular online reward site that offers a variety of earning opportunities for its users. While there are many benefits to signing up for the site, there are also some drawbacks that should be considered before committing to it.

Pros:

On the positive side, one of the main benefits of InboxPounds is the option to receive cash payments. This is a huge advantage for users who prefer cash over other forms of rewards, such as gift cards. Additionally, InboxPounds offers a small join bonus, which is a nice incentive for new users.

Another positive aspect of InboxPounds is the varied earning opportunities available on the site. Users can earn points by completing surveys, offers, trials, downloads, games, and cashback offers. Furthermore, there are several gift card options available for those who prefer non-cash rewards.

InboxPounds also offer a small consolation prize for users who don’t qualify for surveys. After attempting a survey and being disqualified, users are given a free spin on the site’s prize wheel. While the prizes on the wheel are usually small, it’s a nice gesture from InboxPounds and can be a fun way to potentially earn some extra rewards.

Cons:

One of the biggest downsides is the high payout threshold of $20, of which can be difficult to reach. Essentially, users must accumulate a massive amount of points before they can redeem them for rewards.

InboxPounds is also very reliant on 3rd party offers and surveys from other companies. These are not always that easy to qualify for, and you often need to submit the same demographic information again and again. You should also keep in mind that other privacy policies and terms apply when you sign up to other sites and that your data might be shared. We always recommend reading the privacy policies when redirected to a new site.

In addition, the compensation for completing tasks on InboxPounds is generally quite low. Users may need to complete many surveys or offers to earn a significant amount of points, and some tasks are hard to qualify for. This can be frustrating for users who are looking to earn rewards quickly and easily.

When it comes to running our website, we want to be entirely upfront about how we operate, how we make money, and how we keep the site a free resource for our millions of visitors. We don’t accept payment to provide positive reviews, and providers will never have a say in how we choose the best sites. Our aim is to put you, the reader, first and foremost at all times.

A list of practices we never engage in:

  1. We will never accept money to review a product
  2. We will never accept money to change a product review
  3. We will never accept money to turn a blind eye to an issue or flaw
  4. We will never accept money to bias our research or investigations

So, how do we make money? We receive fees from some of the sites we refer subscribers to. These fees are also known as affiliate commissions. When you click on a link or a button that takes you to a provider’s website such as a survey site, we may receive compensation for having referred a new sign-up.

Referral fees are only negotiated after we’ve fully conducted our review, meaning that money plays no factor in the process. Referral fees do not impact our review ratings and recommendations. The compensation we receive may, however, influence how, where, and in what order products appear in our paid search comparison pages, which are separate from our editorial content. These contain ad listings, and can only be accessed via search engine advertisements.
