YourSurveys Review

In this review, we’ll check the benefits and drawbacks of using YourSurveys to take surveys. While the promise of enticing rewards may be tempting, it’s important to consider the downsides before investing time in the platform. We’ll help you determine whether YourSurveys is a worthwhile use of your time.

Is YourSurveys legit?

YourSurveys is run by a legitimate business, and their surveys are generally considered safe to take. YourSurveys’ owner is a market research provider called Cint Group AB which is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The Swedish company is one of the largest providers of research data, with offices in major cities across the globe.

At the same time, YourSurveys is offered through many different types of websites and apps, and there is no way for us to tell if all of them are legitimate. As an example, many of the reward sites offering YourSurveys are known for aggressively blocking accounts, slow payment processes and high payout thresholds.

What’s the concept?

YourSurveys is a platform that works alongside the Cint marketplace to guide users from various websites and apps to take part in market research surveys. Let’s break down the process using the fictive reward site “SurveyChampion.com” as an example:

  1. Users enthusiastically sign up for SurveyChampion, expecting rewards for their time and opinions.
  2. They navigate to the survey offerwall, hoping for a worthwhile experience.
  3. They click on YourSurveys, operated by Cint, which diverts them to the actual surveys.
  4. Users diligently complete the surveys, investing their valuable time and insights.
  5. Once done, they’re sent back to SurveyChampion, where they began.
  6. If their survey entry is approved, they receive confirmation of the reward.

Now, the payment structure deserves scrutiny. Here is an example:

Let’s consider a scenario where Cint receives $2 from their client upon the completion of a survey by a respondent. In this instance, SurveyChampion operates as a partner of Cint and claims 30% of the revenue, which amounts to $0.60. SurveyChampion, in turn, evenly divides its earnings and credits $0.30 to the virtual account of its respondent on SurveyChampion. Subsequently, the survey taker must accumulate $10 to become eligible for a reward withdrawal through a PayPal transfer. Falling short of this threshold means they won’t receive any compensation. This is just an example, but quite a realistic one based on our personal experience in the market research industry.

This seemingly meagre reward for the survey taker raises questions. Why do survey takers (who make most of the efforts) get such a small portion of what the market research client paid in the first place? Unfortunately, survey takers are often left with modest compensation for their time because of how the market research industry works. This is not unique to YourSurveys or Cint, but similar to how most other survey sites operate or any business operates for that matter. As a business, they will not pay out more than strictly needed in order to maximize their profits.

How can I sign up for YourSurveys?

You can’t sign up for the YourSurveys site directly but need to go through one of the Cint partner sites or apps. Here are some examples of reward sites that have partnered with YourSurveys/Cint:

  • Swagbucks
  • Testerup
  • TheoremReach
  • Fusion Cash
  • instaGC
  • Earnably
  • SaySo Rewards
  • MarketAgent
  • PrizeRebel

Note that Cint usually uses one of the following domains for their YourSurveys platform:

The domain yoursurveys.com is not used/owned by Cint as far as we know.

According to similarweb.com, the YourSurveys platform generates as many as 13 million visitors per month, which says something about the huge volume of survey takers who are redirected through their platform. The site is most popular in the US (20%), Japan (8%), UK (5%), Canada (5%) and India (4%).

The Cint marketplace: Similar to an ad network

You can think of the Cint Marketplace as an ad network. Let’s make a comparison between Google Ads and Cint:

Both Cint and Google Ads act as intermediaries between two parties. In the case of Cint, it connects market researchers with websites and apps that monetize users who are willing to participate in surveys. In a similar way, Google Ads connects advertisers with publishers who want to display ads on their websites or apps. Both platforms provide a marketplace where buyers and sellers can come together to exchange their services.

Cint – the company behind YourSurveys offer website and app owners the opportunity to monetize their users through online surveys.

Also, Cint and Google Ads both utilize data to optimize their platforms. Cint uses data to match respondents with the most relevant surveys, while Google Ads uses data to serve ads to the most relevant audiences. Both platforms are highly data-driven, using algorithms to analyze user behaviour and make real-time decisions on which surveys or ads to serve.

Finally, both Cint and Google Ads have a revenue-sharing model, where they take a cut of the transaction between the buyer and seller. Cint charges market researchers a fee for access to its respondent pool, while Google Ads charges advertisers for clicks or impressions on their ads.

What about my personal data?

Considering Cint Group AB’s reputation as a legitimate market research company, it’s reasonable to assume that your survey responses and personal information are safeguarded when participating in surveys on YourSurveys. However, here’s where things get a bit murky.

In most instances, Cint isn’t the primary custodian of your personal data; that responsibility lies with the website where you initially signed up. Furthermore, the ultimate data analyst isn’t Cint itself, but rather their client.

For the average survey participant, this can be quite perplexing. They lack control over the destination of their data. While many surveys are conducted anonymously, this is not always the case. Sometimes, a combination of your survey responses might inadvertently reveal your identity, even if you haven’t disclosed explicit personal details like your name or phone number.

From this screenshot of their privacy policy, it’s evident that YourSurvey retains the authority to disclose your personal information for various purposes, involving a wide array of clients and partners. However, it’s important to note that they expressly refrain from sharing your data for marketing purposes.

Our foremost advice: Only share information that you’re entirely comfortable divulging. Reserve personal details for cases where you have a clear understanding of their intended use. In the complex landscape of data sharing, caution is your best ally.

How do I get paid by YourSurveys?

You don’t get paid directly by YourSurveys, but from the website or app that you originally signed up for. This means that if you have questions or complaints, you’ll need to direct them to the site that offered you the survey in the first place – usually a reward site such as Swagbucks or Testerup or a survey site such as Mobrog or Triaba. If you would like to find more ways to earn money through the site, you can check out our overview of survey sites operated directly by Cint such as SurveyRewardz or Points2Shop.

Pros and Cons of YourSurveys

While there are some positive aspects to consider, such as its mobile-friendliness, wide range of survey topics, and membership in the Insights Association, there are also some potential downsides to keep in mind when it comes to Cint’s YourSurveys.

The Pros

On the positive side, YourSurveys is mobile-friendly, which means you can take surveys on the go from your smartphone or tablet. Additionally, the platform offers a wide variety of survey topics, so you can choose surveys that align with your interests or expertise. The fact that Cint is a member of the Insights Association is also a good sign, as it demonstrates a commitment to ethical research practices and industry standards.

Since Cint operates a marketplace, you are almost guaranteed a constant flow of survey opportunities. By connecting thousands of market research buyers with millions of survey takers, you’ll have a lot more opportunities to take paid surveys than if you sign up for a smaller site.

The Cons

On the negative side, YourSurveys can be difficult to qualify for. Many users report spending a significant amount of time answering screening questions, only to be told they’re not eligible for the actual survey. Additionally, the compensation for surveys can be quite low compared to other survey sites, meaning you might have to take a large number of surveys to earn a meaningful amount of money.

Another potential issue with YourSurveys is the prevalence of third-party surveys. Most surveys are actually hosted by other companies, which makes it difficult to understand exactly how your data is being used and by whom.

It’s also important to note that many YourSurveys users have reported issues with account blocks and false positive detections. YourSurveys is known for being very strict in enforcing its rules and policies, which means that accounts can be blocked or suspended for a variety of reasons, including suspected fraud or violation of the terms of service.

While this strict approach is intended to prevent fraudulent behaviour and ensure the integrity of the survey results, it can also result in many false positives. Some users have reported having their accounts blocked or suspended for no apparent reason, even after providing evidence to support their honesty and legitimacy.

The screenshot shows an example of how Cint/YourSurveys deals with blocked accounts.

This can be a frustrating experience, as it can result in the loss of earned rewards and the inability to participate in future surveys.

It’s important for survey sites to take measures to prevent fraud and maintain the quality of their results. Actually, the owner of YourSurveys, Cint Group AB, has reported significant issues with survey fraud resulting in a negative impact on earnings. However, it’s also important for Cint to be transparent and fair when enforcing its fraud measures.

While YourSurveys offers some attractive features such as mobile-friendliness and a variety of survey topics, it’s important to be aware of the potential drawbacks, including the difficulty in qualifying for surveys, low compensation, unclear data-sharing practices, and the risk of account blocks and false positive detections.
